Bill Sweetman, Editor-in-Chief
Sweetman most recently served as aerospace and defense editor for the Jane’s Information Group. Over the past 34 years Sweetman has written nearly 40 books and hundreds of articles about aircraft technology and advanced weapons systems for the world’s leading aerospace publishers, including Flight International, Interavia, Smithsonian Air & Space and The McGraw-Hill Companies. He also has been a frequent contributor to consumer magazines and newspapers, notably Popular Science and The Washington Post. Time magazine once described him as “...the best authority on high-tech weaponry outside the Pentagon.”

Joris Janssen Lok, Senior European Editor
Having studied journalism and history, Joris became a full-time defense and security journalist in 1985 when he joined the Netherlands Ministry of Defence as a reporter covering land, air and naval defense topics. From 1989 he spent 18 years with Jane’s Information Group, including eight years as Naval Editor, Jane’s Defence Weekly and nine years as International Editor, Jane’s International Defence Review. He has traveled extensively, reporting on a wide range of industry, science & technology, political and operational issues. Joris is based in the Netherlands.

Pat Toensmeier, Managing Editor
With 20 years of experience, Toensmeier specializes in technology, industrial processing and product design, and wrote the Nov/Dec 2006 cover story on electric propulsion technology on board next generation Navy warships.
